Free Snow Play and Tobogganing near Melbourne

Mount Donna Buang is probably the closest mountain that has snow in winter around Melbourne.  It has sufficient snow for tobogganing a few times a year if lucky.  As to snow, it needs sub-zero temperature and water.  As the mountain is not high enough, it gets to sub-zero only once a while.  At the same time, we need rain/water so it can snow.  That does not happen often, but when it does, it's lots of fun. It's free.  No entry fee, parking fee, nothing.  It's close to Melbourne.  Took my family less than 50 minutes to get there.  This would be the best destination for some who do not like to drive hours to see snow.
